Data deletion
This page explains how to delete the data Postwme holds about you, including anything obtained from your connected Facebook Page or Instagram account. Disconnecting an account and deleting your account are both self-serve, in the app, with no request form.
1. Disconnect a Facebook Page or Instagram account
Disconnecting removes the stored access credentials for that account immediately, and Postwme stops reading from or publishing to it.
- Open Settings → Connected accounts in Postwme.
- Choose the Facebook Page or Instagram account and select Disconnect.
You can also revoke Postwme from Facebook directly, at Facebook Settings → Business integrations. Removing the app there revokes its access to your Page and Instagram account. Postwme treats the revoked credential as expired and stops all activity on that account.
Posts that Postwme already published to Facebook or Instagram stay on those platforms and belong to your Page — deleting Postwme data does not remove them. Delete them on Facebook or Instagram if you want them gone.
2. Delete your account and all of its data
- Open Settings → Privacy in Postwme and select Delete account.
- Deletion is scheduled with a 30 day grace period. You can cancel it from the same screen at any point before it executes.
- When it executes, Postwme removes your account, your shops, uploaded and generated media, connected account credentials, drafts, and scheduled posts.
A limited set of records may be retained where the law requires it — security, disputes, tax, and accounting records. Section 7 of the privacy policy describes retention in full.
3. Get a copy of your data first
If you want a copy before deleting, email privacy@postwme.com from the address on the account and we will send it to you. We answer within the period your local law requires.
4. If you cannot reach your account
Email privacy@postwme.com from the address on the account. We may need to verify your identity before completing the request, and we answer within the period your local law requires.
